Regency Guard
This is the now-unified defensive structure of Seedorf made up of the Night Watch and City Guard. During the tension when Duke Caldwell declared war on the small-by-comparison lands under the Lady Nevia von Abendroth's control, the seperate divisions became a single entity out of necessity, and then remained as such afterwards, due to the increased communication and planning between divisions that it provided. The new structure allows the divisions to continue to work the way they have, but allows them to work across once invisible boundaries, and assist one another whenever it is required.

Night Watch Division
The Nachtwald is a strange and mysterious place, full of danger and surprises well beyond the expertise of the average individual. It is realized, that the forest contains special foes, special situations and special problems. For this very reason a Unit of specialized individuals has been assembled for dealing with the odd forest.
The Night Watch, is a group of highly trained soldiers whose soul duty is all things 'Wald'. They routinely patrol the forest and its village side borders, repel attacks, and provide public updates so as to keep everyone on the same page with the Wald and living with it.
(To have a PC in the Night Watch, just make a character and speak to a current Night Watch member so everything can be set in motion, or speak to one of the ops to point you in the right direction.)

Uniform
Males - The Male Dress uniform is comprised of a long coat of black with a sharply cut collar. The lapels are silken and pale blue, the hardware is silver. A dark gray button down shirt is worn beneath, collar open, with no tie. The pants are black, pipped in pale blue. A hat may be worn with the dress uniform, a huntman's cap wide of brim, black, tipped up on one side. It will feature a thin, pale blue plum and wolves teeth around the band. A cloak may be worn in the winter months.
Females - The Female Dress uniform has two various. With pants or with skirt. The pants are similar to the males, however feature a snug fit around the hips and flare at the boots instead of the straight cut. The skirts are long, split up the side to just above the knee, and are trimmed at the base in thick blue lace turned up against the black fabric. The jacket is similar to the males though features a more feminine cut. A cloak may be worn. The headgear for the female dress uniform is a hat similar to the males, but of a more feminine design.
City Guard Division
City Guardsmen are well trained in mounted combat, and are each assigned a horse once training has been completed. These are not war horses, these are sleek racers bred for speed to assist in chasing down their quarry that might be able to otherwise evade and elude them.
This is the basic 'police' force for the town of Seedorf, and surrounding smaller villages and hamlets. They are lightly armored, lightly armed, but well-trained for combat inside a city's walls. Patrols are usually two-man, checking alleys and making certain everyone is safe and secure. The city guard's barracks are currently the motte and bailey fort just on the edge of town, near the regent's manor home.

Uniform
The city guards' uniform is fairly simple. A dark blue jacket and breeches with gold trim, fitted over a suit of light chainmail and the padding beneath, and a pair of riding boots. Female guards have the option of wearing either a skirt or standard issue breeches while on duty, but the skirt must allow for movement and offer the option of riding horseback. Spellcasters are permitted to wear mages' robes instead of the standard uniform, but it must be matching color to the regular uniform and must offer suitable protections for the wearer.
City Guards do not use conventional bladed weapons. Instead they are issued shashkas, which have been found to be much more easily wielded while on horseback. The exception is the Sniper division, which are unmounted, and use either heavy crossbows or longbows, for long range cover and support. While they are issued the standard elite shashka, they can elect not to wear them while on duty.
